Tracy Khakhali, 20years old, was a student at Huruma girls. She is one of the first students whose fees were paid by Village of Love. She is a good student and hopes to become an accountant. In her final year of school, tragedy struck. Her mother became ill and died, leaving Tracy as the head of a household of seven children, including three orphans. The pressures of dealing with grief and running the family business while still keeping up with her studies, meant that Tracy did not score highly enough for the scholarship that she was hoping to win. Her C+ aggregate was high enough to qualify for the course of study, but lack of fees prevented her from pursuing the course. Recently, a benefactor has generously provided her fees, so that she has now been admitted to Tangaza College to study maths and computer science, starting August 2014. (information recorded June 2014).
