Eunice Chivingo, 34, has lived in Kibera for 12 years. She sells vegetables and eggs to support 2 birth children and 1 orphaned child. She joined Village of Love in 2012, when she received two $60 loans, enabling her to expand her stock. Both loans are repaid. From her rural home she has a steady supply of bananas. Her plan is to sell them wholesale in order to be able to move out of Kibera. (Information recorded in 2013).
Eunice saved and bought a small gas stove , which frees her from the daily expense of buying charcoal, saves cooking time and gives her more time with her children. (Recorded 2014).
