Kibera

The  members of Village of Love are scattered throughout the slum community  of Kibera, just outside Nairobi. This is one of the largest, most  densely populated and crime ridden slums in the world.

Inhabitants live in squalid conditons, in tiny shacks with corrugated rooves, sometimes  as many as 10 people in a 12’ square area.

It is estimated that around 20,000 orphaned children fend for themsleves on the streets of Kibera.
