Waddington’s Online Auction- New 2022!

“Mostly Royals” bas relief by Canadian artist, Betty Davison, garnered around $500 for Village of Love on Waddington’s last year.Might you consider donating an item to Village of Love for one of Waddington’s auctions? 

See WADDINGTON’S GUIDELINES for acceptable items- from Jewellery and Fine Wine to various forms of International Art. They also accept many items not specifically mentioned on their website.    Many of the items in their auctions are valued in the $50 to $100 range.

How to Donate

• Contact Sue Cameron 416-531-9817;  cameron9817@sympatico.ca
• Provide a brief description and include a photo if you can. We can visit you at home to identify markings and/or to photograph the item if this would be helpful.
• Keep the item at your home until we receive word of acceptance from Waddington’s.
• Sue will send Waddington’s the relevant details. When they tell us how much we might receive for it, you will have a chance to approve its being auctioned.
• If you agree, we will pick up the item and deliver it to Waddington’s.

Success Already

We have seen some success in doing this over the past year and a half – with items such as sterling silver tableware, artwork and fine china, donated to our own VoLC online auctions, but needing a wider audience to realize their true value.

Waddington’s has expertise and reputation in appraisals, auctioneering and marketing to large audiences.   Despite Waddington’s charging a fee, the amount Village of Love receives is higher than we would ever be able to realize ourselves
